I have been fascinated by stories my entire life. One of my fondest childhood memories is being told parts of The Odyssey by a family friend before bed. I can still remember the fascination and fear of Odysseus telling Polyphemus (the Cyclops) that his name was nobody as he escaped. 

Stories have power. Stories inspire one minute and terrify the next. Stories can make you laugh or make you cry. They are one of the oldest forms of human entertainment, and they can move society. 

Those are the kinds of stories I want to see and write. They don’t need to be life-changing. They don’t need to be the next The Odyssey. However, I want everyone to come away from every story feeling something. I want you to finish a story appreciating the time spent in that world and be excited to sleep so you can dream about it again.
